Kajsa -Tuva is a visual artist from Jämtland, the centre of Sweden.
She had her national breakthrough as an artist around year 2000.
Kajsa-Tuva Werner's abstract paintings are about her inner life. Sometimes they are colourful, with a lot of black, sometimes explosive or dreamily visionary. Always unmistakable and immediate.
Her artistry is also expressed in sculptures, texts, drawings as well as clothes and textiles.
Between two-three exhibitions per year, she uses traveling, nature and cultural experiences to broadening the repertoire of visual associations used in her work.
She’s inspired by the pop-and street art as well famous artists like Niki de Saint Phalle, Paul Klee and Andy Warhol. Her art is about the balance between the beauty and the pain.
Her inner life is what you can see in her paintings. She has found her own voice and it’s easy to recognice if you know her as a person.
